Fort William

Fort William sits at the base of the Lochaber mountains and is surrounded by large forestry estates, including Leanachan Forest. These areas feature engineered gravel forestry tracks, estate roads, and access routes used for major outdoor events.

Terrain ranges from valley-floor flat ground to moderate slopes into plantation woodland. Surfaces depend on venue but are commonly firm aggregate forestry roads.
