About Delamere
Delamere Forest in Cheshire is a mixed woodland managed by Forestry England. The forest includes several lakes, wetland edges, and an extensive network of gravel forestry roads and recreational trails.
Terrain is mostly flat with mild rises formed by glacial deposits. Surfaces consist mainly of firm forestry aggregate with localised patches of softer soil in wetter areas.
Course Description
The trail is mostly hard packed surface, undulating, very interesting with plenty of turns to keep both musher and dog alert.
Directions
From The North & The South:
Leave M6 aJ19. Turn onto the A556 signposted to Northwich/Chester & North Wales. Stay on the road for approximately 13 miles. Turn right at the Abbey Arms pub onto the B5152 to Frodsham & Delamere Forest. After approximately 1 mile turn left into the forest following event signs.
