Salisbury Plains

Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire is a vast chalk downland area used extensively by the Ministry of Defence. It includes open grassland, scattered woodland blocks and a dense network of military gravel roads and natural chalk tracks.

Terrain is gently rolling across the plateau. Surfaces range from compact chalk and gravel to natural grass depending on the route and training zone.
