BSHRA

British Siberian Husky Racing Association

The British Siberian Husky Racing Association (BSHRA) was established in 1996 by a group of Britain’s leading sled dog racing drivers following the dissolution of the British Sleddog Racing Association. The organisation was created to provide a credible national championship dedicated specifically to the racing of purebred Siberian Huskies in the United Kingdom.

BSHRA focuses on administering its annual British Siberian Husky Racing Championship, held across a winter racing season at established venues around the UK. The series brings together experienced mushers and newcomers alike, providing structured competition while maintaining the traditions of Siberian Husky racing.

Alongside the main championship, BSHRA also recognises a range of additional categories including Rookie Musher, Veteran Team and Junior championships. Through these classes and its annual race programme, the organisation supports participation at every level while promoting the athletic ability and heritage of the Siberian Husky in competitive sled dog sport.
