About Santon Downham
Santon Downham lies within Thetford Forest on the Norfolk-Suffolk border. The area is dominated by conifer plantations and straight forestry roads managed by Forestry England.
Terrain is largely flat with slight undulation. Surfaces are mainly firm forestry aggregate with sandy patches typical of the Breckland region.

Santon offers the same grassy trails as the other Thetford Forest areas.
Directions
From North (Swaffham)
Take A1065 towards Thetford & Brandon. After the Mundford roundabout look for a BSHRA sign on the left hand side approx. 3-4 miles after the roundabout.
From South (Brandon)
Take A1065 towards Swaffham. Look for a BSHRA sign after approx. 1 mile on the right after you leave Brandon.
