South Coast Sled Dogs was an affiliated organisation that enabled events to be held under the banner of the British Sleddog Activities (BSA). Through this affiliation, events operated within the standards, guidelines, and competitive framework recognised by the BSA, ensuring they met the established expectations for sled dog sports in the UK.

Working alongside the BSA allowed South Coast Sled Dogs to provide organised opportunities for mushers, handlers, and dog teams to take part in structured races and activities. The affiliation supported the development of sled dog sports locally while maintaining alignment with the wider community and governing practices associated with British Sleddog Activities.
