Strathallan Estate

Strathallan Castle is a historic country estate located near Auchterarder in Perthshire, Scotland. Set within extensive parkland in the Strathallan valley, the estate has long been associated with the Drummond family, whose seat there dates back to at least the thirteenth century.

The present house was rebuilt in the early nineteenth century and the estate later passed to the Roberts family in 1910. During the First World War the castle served as a Red Cross convalescent hospital for wounded soldiers, and during the Second World War it housed a girls’ school evacuated from Glasgow.

Today Strathallan Castle remains a private family home while also operating as an events venue used for weddings, corporate gatherings and large outdoor events. The estate has hosted major public events including the T in the Park music festival in 2015 and 2016, demonstrating its capacity as a large outdoor venue within the Perthshire countryside.
