About Clashindarroch
Clashindarroch Forest in Aberdeenshire is a large conifer plantation known for its snow-prone conditions and cross-country ski trails. Managed by Forestry and Land Scotland, it includes long gravel forestry roads and narrower forest tracks.
Terrain is moderately hilly, shaped by the Ladder Hills. Surfaces are mainly forestry aggregate; winter conditions may vary.
Course Description
This is a cross-country ski course in an idyllic setting with trail distances varying from 2 – 5 miles. Most have uphill starts and downhill finishes, so it is important that all team members are physically fit for these trails. In the event of rain, frost or a tornado, we have an alternative rig race site at Gartly Moor.
