About Blacklaw Forest
Blacklaw Forest is a commercial forestry area in South Lanarkshire. It consists mainly of conifer plantations with gravel forestry roads used for timber operations and recreation.
The terrain is gently rolling upland, common to the area east of the Clyde Valley. Surfaces are predominantly firm forestry aggregate.
Course Description
You will find these trails to be mainly soft surfaces with some grass areas, undulating and a few turns.
Directions
From North : M90/M9
Stay here until it merges onto the M8, continue past junction 4 and take the A706 onto the A71. Find Headlesscross and take B715. Approx 2 mile on is the windfarm site, it will be signposted from here.
From South : A74(M)
Past Stonehouse at Junction 8, take a right onto the A71, continue until you reach Headlecross on the B715. Follow the signs, as above.
