FDCUK Grizedale

Sat 6th January '24
- Sun 7th Jan '24

Location Info

Grizedale Forest is located between Coniston Water and Windermere in the Lake District and is managed by Forestry England. It features a mix of conifer and broadleaf woodland with a widespread network of forest roads, bridleways, and recreational trails.

Terrain is moderately hilly, shaped by valleys and ridges typical of the central Lake District. Surfaces are mainly firm forestry aggregate with natural earth sections in less-developed areas.

Course Description

Forest roads packed with stretches of loose patches. Don’t forget uphill start! For those with dogs trained on the soft surfaces, boots may be considered.

Please note that this is a well used forest by visitors and that there are public rights of way across parts of the course, all efforts to notify the public on entering the forest will be made, however a little courtesy from all concerned will ensure another rally.
