About Cannock Forest
Cannock Forest, part of Cannock Chase in Staffordshire, is an area of mixed conifer and broadleaf woodland managed by Forestry England. The landscape includes a large network of gravel forestry roads, bridleways, and recreational trails.
Terrain is gently undulating heathland and forest, shaped by glacial deposits and sandstone ridges. Surfaces are typically firm aggregate with sections of sandy soil.

Directions
From The North:
Leave the M6 at junction 13 and take the A449 for Penkridge and Stafford. At Penkridge turn left on the B5012 for Cannock. After crossing over the M6 take the next left (unsigned) for 4.25 miles. You will see the race signs on the right hand bend – marked “Rugeley Ranges”. Turn left onto the track and proceed to the car park.
From Other Directions:
Approach Rugeley from the Lichfield side on the A51. Go under the railway bridge and at the roundabout take the second exit towards Stafford and Stone (A51). After 0.25 of a mile turn left at the traffic lights into Hagley road. Stay on this raod for 2 miles at which point you will see the race signs on a left hand bend – marked “Rugeley Ranges”. Turn right onto the track and proceed to the car park.
