Kaytoo Alaskan Malamutes

Kaytoo Alaskan Malamutes is a UK kennel based near Knaresborough in North Yorkshire, dedicated to breeding and working Alaskan Malamutes in line with the breed’s traditional role as long-distance freighting dogs. The kennel has owned and worked Malamutes since 1991, combining responsible breeding with participation in working activities and dog shows.

The kennel’s dogs are first and foremost family companions but are also trained and competed in a range of activities including harness work, weight pulling and conformation showing. Kaytoo places strong emphasis on maintaining the strength, endurance and temperament that historically allowed Malamutes to haul heavy freight across Arctic terrain.

Alongside breeding and working with their dogs, Kaytoo also supports the wider Malamute and sled dog community through participation in breed clubs and organisations. Their focus remains on preserving the heritage and working ability of the Alaskan Malamute while promoting responsible ownership and care of the breed.
